Capt. Sam Park founded Spark International in 1988 and has built the firm into
South Korea's premier provider of consulting
services
for
the maritime claims, shipping and insurance
(including P&I Club) industries. As President,
Sam is principal-in-charge, providing overall
policy
direction, technical
oversight and manpower allocations for the
company.
Sam's
experience and depth of understanding of
the industry have made him a sought-after
resource for his opinions and insights.
As an arbitrator and a mediator of
the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (currently,
Vice-Chairman
of the Korean Commercial Arbitrators Association),
Sam leverages
his expertise in marine insurance and maritime
law to resolve disputes
in
an independent and fair manner.
Sam
holds a bachelor's degree in navigation
and nautical science from
Korea Maritime University and a master's
degree
in business
administration from Hankuk University
of Foreign Studies.
